Laughing Kookaburras are living the Gen Z dream: they’re TikTok famous. The @birdsofoz account posts videos of all the incredible Australian birds that visit the balcony of their home out in the Australian bush, Kookaburras prime among them. (You can also spot rosy Galahs, singing Magpies, and the brilliant Australian King Parrot.) Day after day the birds come to call, sing their songs, and even allow the recording human to place flowers atop their heads. It’s like a Snow White fantasy! @birdsofoz has 1.2 million followers, and people love these birds so much they regularly send along impressive fan art.

Fun fact: These large Kingfishers are known as Laughing Kookaburras because of the chuckle-like call they make at dawn and dusk. They also make a distinctive clacking nose with their beaks when they shake their heads back and forth.
