The small entrance hole is protected by a repurposed slate guard sourced from old Maine architecture to discourage pillaging squirrels, and this unit's slanted roof allows water to run off of it, rather than into the home as birds take solace from the elements. Use the included metal hanger to easily mount this roost on a tree or post, facing the entrance away from prevailing winds for maximum protection.
